Know the plant.
Grow with it.

Good care starts with curiosity. Where a plant comes from can change how we grow it.

Observe. Understand. Grow.
01 · Light

Start where it grows.

A forest floor, a branch in the canopy, an open clearing. A plant’s habitat offers clues to the light it has learned to live with. Notice the light in your home, too — its direction, intensity and how it changes.

Observe the light. Not just the window.

02 · Roots & substrate

Make room for the roots.

What surrounds the roots in nature? Air, bark, soil or something in between? Think about that balance when choosing a substrate, giving roots space to breathe while holding the moisture the plant needs.

What’s below matters as much as what’s above.

03 · Watering

A rhythm, not a rule.

Light, substrate and the growing environment all affect how quickly moisture changes. Feel the mix, notice the plant and learn its rhythm rather than following a universal watering calendar.

Check in with the plant, not the calendar.

From a personal
collection to Frondea.

An illustrative detail of tropical foliage accompanying Frondea’s collector story
It started with a love of growing things.
Illustrative foliage study.

Some things begin with a single plant. Then another leaf catches your eye, a terrarium becomes a little world, and curiosity takes root.

Frondea grew from a love of plants and nature: collecting rare plants, building a terrarium, making growing mixes and finding the accessories that help. Along the way came a lot of observing, learning and caring.

Now, that growing world is becoming something to share. Not just the plants, but the knowledge and pleasure of growing with them.

With care, Frondea

Your collection,
connected.

The care doesn’t stop at the windowsill. We’re imagining a future home for managing your plants and recording their progress — carrying the habit of a growing journal forward.
